VCC is a private mental health agency offering a comprehensive array of mental health services to adults, children, adolescents and their families. The Village Counseling Center strives to meet the needs by providing quality mental health care through unique and innovative programs. All clinical services are provided by experienced and licensed professionals and are adapted to meet the unique needs of each child and family. VCC adheres to a resiliency-based model that is based on developing and addressing each client's strengths, needs and support system.
The Village Counseling Center's primary programs, the Sexual Abuse Prevention and Treatment (SAPT) Program and Trauma Recovery Program for Youth and Families are known for providing pioneering services and are leaders in Florida in the provision of specialized services for children and adolescents. VCC clinicians have evaluated and successfully treated more than 3,000 children and adolescents who have suffered physical, sexual abuse and emotional abuse, ad sexual behavior problems. VCC aims to help youth transcend the trauma of early childhood abuse, learn appropriate behavior and pursue safe, healthy and meaningful lives.

The Village Counseling Center (VCC) in Gainesville, Florida currently provides services in over 16 counties in North Florida including Alachua, Bradford, Columbia, Gilchrist, Levy, Suwannee and Duval County. VCC offers a variety of specialized mental health services including therapy, assessments, parent education classes, training and clinical consultation. VCC accepts private referrals as well as clients through various contracts with many agencies including the Department of Children and Families, Department of Juvenile Justice and Partnership for Strong Families. VCC is one of the premier agencies in North Florida for treating children, adolescents and young adults for issues related to sexual abuse, trauma and adoption with specialized services for both victims and family members.
